When you’re sick in 2011…

Having been stuck in bed sick recently I found it very boring. I guess I’m one of those people who’s always on the go and enjoys being busy and multitasks a lot. Most working mums these days would agree with me there – it’s not something we boast about, it’s just something that is second nature to us. We just do as much as we can in the little time we have. When you’re suddenly stuck at home with nothing to do and being told to rest and take it easy, you either become overwhelmed with “I have free time – I can finally read that book I’ve been wanting to finish for months, or I can give myself a manicure and a pedicure, or I can go to sleep, or I can watch my favourite shows or play those games I’ve wanted to play for ages.” And all of a sudden you find yourself surrounded by an iPad, an iPhone, a tv, a laptop, a kindle, a kobo because you NEED all those things to get you through the day. What did I do before technology?
When you’re sick in 2011 and I mean really sick that you are stuck in bed for a day or more what technologies keep you entertained?

  1. I try and keep my bedroom free of technology. If I’m really sick I like to sleep or look at the ceiling. Hope you are getting better.
