Seeing the contestants on Masterchef tonight get so excited about going to Tasmania made me think about my Tassie holiday with hubby. It is our most memorable trip together to date and I am going to enjoy Masterchef this week while I reminisce about our experiences there.

Since having our kids, we have been fortunate enough to have lots of mini family holidays and hubby and I have had several holidays apart and attended conferences etc … but due to certain circumstances, we just haven’t had the opportunity nor the time to go on a proper holiday together. At one stage I was quite ill and hubby had to use up his long service leave and his annual leave to either look after me or look after the children.

We are way overdue for a proper family holiday and unfortunately with me starting a new job soon, this will not be occurring in the near future. The kids are getting at that interesting age so I am really looking forward to going away together next year. I think I’m even going to start planning for our first big trip.
